Mills Memorial Hospital in Terrace has acquired a new ear, nose, and throat (ENT) imaging navigation system.
Prince Rupert Port Authority announced they have partnered with the Dr. REM Lee Hospital Foundation to secure the purchase. CFNR spoke with Brittany Pederson, Community Relations Manager for the PRPA.
The new navigation system is already in use: Pederson says it promises higher-definition imaging, facilitating complex sinus and skull-based surgeries with precision. The new ENT system not only benefits Terrace residents, but also alleviates the need for patients to travel to Vancouver for specialized procedures, according to Pederson.
CFNR has more on the story.
