A 42 year old man from Quebec was sent to hospital after his hand was severely injured while trying to board a west-bound moving Canadian Pacific Kansas City freight train in the early morning hours on Sunday, January 21.
Revelstoke RCMP were made aware of the injured man, who was seen along Victoria Avenue near Wynn Street just prior to 1 a.m.
Police determined the man had attempted to board the moving train and was subsequently run over by a freight car.
Revelstoke RCMP have handed the file over to CPKC Police for further investigation.
