Centre Wellington District High School (CWDHS) was successful in winning the National Theatre School (NTS) Drama Festival at St. Benedict’s Catholic High School in Cambridge earlier this month.
Staff advisor and CWDHS teacher Jenny Ritter says it was a “great feeling” to be victorious with their play Jump Station, stating it’s a testament to the board’s dedication to the arts for her school and another board school to move on.
Ailish O’Donnell had her fingerprints all over the play. The Grade 12 student put the play together in just over a month, Ritter says, and provided staging elements and production skills.
