The Port Hope Panthers junior C hockey club has new local ownership.
Dan Stewart and his wife Brandy have purchased the organization. Dan is also the goalie development coach for the NHL’s St. Louis Blues. His father Dan has been a long-time volunteer with the Panthers and his mother, Liz, contributes to local initiatives as well.
The Panthers are looking for volunteers for the upcoming Provincial Junior Hockey League season including gate staff, announcers, music, writers, photographers, social media content and general positions.
A strong group of local players are returning for the 2024-25 season including Oz Paziuk, Spencer Eriksson, Sidney wakely, Emmett Clarke, Andrew Roberts, Noah Richard, Ben Hansen and Dailen Fousek.
Port Hope’s Christian Eriksson has been named the club’s new general manager and Andrew Rhynold, who played for the former Port Hope junior A Predators when they were in town, is the new head coach.
