Local director Jeremy Larter’s Who’s Yer Father? will be on the big screen at the 2024 Kingston Canadian Film Festival this weekend.
Who’s Yer Father? is an east coast comedy with a local connection, as Larter is now a resident of Prince Edward County. The maritime mystery centers around Larry, a private investigator, who ends up in the middle of a case involving compromising photos, blackmail and black market lobster.
“I’m really happy and really, really thrilled to be able to watch the movie in Kingston and see and feel that Kingston crowd and see how they react to it,” says Larter. “Especially with a comedy, it’s a real communal experience and watching it together is, I think, the best way to watch a comedy.”
While both screenings at the festival this weekend are now sold out, the film is also available to watch on Paramount Plus.
