The Nova Scotia government announced Thursday that as part of a settlement agreement, Northern Pulp in Pictou County will be looking into the feasibility of opening a paper mill in the Liverpool area.
The Bowater mill operated in the area from 1929 to 2012 and employed hundreds of people. It was Queens County’s largest employer for many years.
QCCR asked some people at the South Queens Chamber of Commerce annual general meeting on Thursday for their reaction.
