People from around Queens County turned out to Great Oak Park near the Hank Snow Home Town Museum in Liverpool on Friday afternoon and evening to mark National Indigenous Peoples Day.
It was one of many celebrations across the country.
The cultural celebration showcased dancing, drumming, a vendors market with Mi’kmaw artisans and some traditional foods.
QCCR spoke to organizer Kim Jackson, president of the Nova Scotia Native Council Zone 9, and some of the other people at the event.
