Late Nanaimo resident Craig Evans has been awarded by the provincial government with the Medal of Good Citizenship.
Evans was a longtime farmer who played a pivotal role in helping residents find ways to access fresh fruits and vegetables. He also advocated to allow for anyone to be able to learn to grow their own food. He passed in March 2023.

She is proud to see Evans be recognized for his hard work and countless years dedicated to farming and protecting nature. She hopes more people will now learn who Evans was and continue his missions for years to come.
