The community greenhouse dome in Corner Brook will open June 1.
Located across from the mill, the greenhouse is a partnership between the Western Environment Centre (WEC) and the City of Corner Brook.
WEC Executive Director Katie Temple says the purpose of the Growing Dome Program is to be a large community greenhouse to a growing a local food network. This growing season the WEC will run a pilot greenhouse ambassador program with the Association of New Canadians – Corner Brook. The Grand Opening of the dome greenhouse happens Saturday, June 1 at 10 am.
