Ladysmith council had a difficult time picking the photos to wrap five utility kiosks around the town on April 2.
Council had the chance to select from 15 photos for five kiosks located in residential neighbourhoods.
A report from staff says the wrapping is to add a sense of identity and education and conversation opportunities in the neighbourhoods.
The photo options consist of historical photos of the now downtown area and landscape images of outdoor areas around the town. Several council members said they would like to hold off on using the historical images in residential areas to save them to be wrapped in the downtown area so the photos can reflect the current day area.
The discussion ended with a motion to direct staff to choose the designs for the utility kiosks, while other grant opportunities can be looked into to find the finances to wrap more utility kiosks primarily in the downtown.
