The Kitchener Public Library (KPL) is testing a new way to borrow books. Library lockers are making borrowing a book from the KPL easier and more accessible. The lockers have been installed in 2 community centres, Victoria Hills, and Chandler Mowat.
Megan Clare, the division manager of resources and membership services at KPL says these lockers will bring convenience to the community, whether it’s borrowing, picking up a hold or returning books. The lockers are part of a 2 year pilot project where the KPL has partnered with the City of Kitchener.
CKWR News went to the Victoria Hills Community Centre to check out the process of borrowing a book through the lockers.
