The head of the Deer Lake Regional Airport is confident the airport will return to pre COVID-19 passenger numbers this summer.
Passenger traffic last year at the facility was just over 302,000 people. With this week’s announcement of WestJet returning to YDF for the season, airport CEO Tammy Priddle is hopeful this will help boost numbers and provide passengers with connections to a network of other flights. The WestJet service will be in effect May 16 to Oct. 12. CKVB News spoke with Priddle to learn more.
