Randy Thompson represents the BC Green Party in his run for the Prince George–North Cariboo MLA post. He didn’t hold back from criticizing ongoing unsustainable industrial practices by fossil fuel and forestry companies. Thompson stated that change must take place towards sustainability for the benefit of not only our region but the overall environment.
The excerpted audio for this story was recorded at a forum was held in UNBC’s Canfor theatre on October 3 and organized by UNBC’s Sustainability Office and the PGEVA.
All candidates have been invited to share their views on CFUR. We have not conducted an interview with Randy Thompson in time for air ahead of the Oct. 19th election day — to ensure that he has had a chance to be heard on our station, we have excerpted his segments only in this program. Also in attendance at the forum was independent incumbent Coralee Oakes. Absent were Sheldon Clare of the BC Conservatives, and Denice Bardua of the BC NDP.
