The Sweetest Little Thing fundraising art auction opened for bids online today, and CHMA spoke with Struts director Paul Henderson about the artists behind the event, and the purpose it serves in Sackville’s art scene.
“It’s our biggest fundraiser,” says Henderson. “And it’s the most essential for both galleries.” Henderson says the cooperation between Struts and Owens is special. “It’s unique in this world to actually partner together with another organization and pool our resources to create an event that actually benefits both organizations really significantly,” says Henderson.
This year marks the 25th year for the annual event which raises money for Struts Gallery and the Owens Art Gallery, and features art works contributed from artists across Canada and beyond.
