The Centre Wellington Food Bank has had a busy year and holiday season that management projects will get them through upcoming hectic times.
The food bank reports they have moved from 20 households a day to closer to 30.
Manager of the food bank Curt McQueen says the recent surge of donations looks “massive” now but will become crucial in sustaining the food bank through the upcoming months into the summer.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic easing in recent years, McQueen says he would anticipate usage will remain high.
