For the second year running, experienced ice fisher, Chris Hardt is working with the Saint John Newcomers Centre to introduce the activity to people who have recently arrived in the city. People move to the city from around the world. many from places which never experience winters as cold as in New Brunswick
Zara Larionova, who works at the Newcomers Centre, spoke with Local 107.3FM about how Hardt got involved, and the interest in various types of fishing amongst newcomers to the city. Hardt himself went on to talk in detail about the importance of safety, as well as the pleasures of the sport and being able to pass it on to newcomers to the province.
