An upcoming Toronto vs. Vancouver lacrosse game is donating some of the money raised to a Six Nations non-profit.
Community Living Six Nations “Ronatahskats” will be receiving a portion of tickets sales from the Feb. 24 lacrosse game between Toronto Rock and the Vancouver Warriors. The money raised will help with funding for the organization that supports adults in the Six Nations community dealing with developmental disabilities according to Joel Jamieson, community inclusion supervisor for Community Living Six Nations.
The organization is the only Community Living branch that supports adults with a development disability on a reserve in Ontario.
Jamieson says the proceeds will help the organization to continue to offer the supports and activities to those individuals accessing care within Six Nations.
Toronto Rock will be donating $5 from each lacrosse game ticket back to Community Living Six Nations; to learn more visit the event website.
