Local musician Curtis Driedger will lead Peterborough Community Sing beginning later this month.
Driedger, along with the other three members of the group McDonnell Street Gospel Quartet will teach the participants how to sing the song ‘Let’s Work Together,’ recorded by Canned Heat in 1970, in four-part harmony.
Peterborough Community Sing has been organized with support from the United Way Peterborough & District Neighbourhood Fund.
Participants of all experience are welcome: “I think that everybody has song, in some measure or another, so you shouldn’t feel that it’s something you have never done,” says Driedger.
The Peterborough Community Sing series begins on Sept. 20 at 7 p.m., at St. James United Church (221 Romaine St).
