The County is a hot tourist destination but for owners of electric vehicles visiting the County, it has been disappointing and frustrating trying to find charging stations.
The County announced on January 8 that EV chargers are now installed and operational at three locations.
The level 2 chargers, on the Flo network, can be found at the Crystal Palace on Main Street in Picton, the Bloomfield parking lot and at the south east side of the the Lehigh Arena at the Wellington Community Centre.
For an easy charging experience, the County suggests that drivers become a Flo member and download the Flo app.
The chargers have been installed thanks to a grant from the Charge for Change program delivered by Earth Day Canada and funded by Aviva Insurance. Future plans include multiple charging stations across the County and the addition of DC Fast level 3 chargers.
