ELORA – The Elora Singers held an open rehearsal this week ahead of opening night of the 45th The Elora Festival.
The night was also a celebration of the $127,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. MPP for Wellington-Halton Hills Ted Arnott explained Ontario Trillium Foundation grants are approved by volunteers so a grant that size is a significant show of support for the Festival.
Christina Stelmacovich, manager of the Elora Festival and Singers, says the festival wouldn’t be possible without the support of the province and the dozens of volunteers.
The 45th season of the Elora Festival begins Friday with the Opening Gala featuring Joseph Haydn’s The Creation. On Saturday, Juno award winner Laila Biali will perform with the Elora Singers. There are concerts through to July 20.
