Visitors to a new exhibit at the Elora Centre for the Arts will be given an “immersive” experience through Bluetooth-equipped 3-D sunglasses and moving objects synched to the beat of music.
Executive Director of the arts centre Lianne Carter says “Journey to the Metaverse” is a vision that has come together over a matter of several years, and hundreds of hours of setup.
The first 3-D virtual reality ever to come to Elora Centre for the Arts, Carter added she is proud to bring a Fergus man’s creativity to life within Centre Wellington.
“Journey to the Metaverse” runs Feb. 1 until March 17 and will be open each week Wednesday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sunday 12-4 p.m.
CICW spoke with Carter to learn more about the exhibition’s roots, and what it has in store for those within the community.
