Keen downtown Sackville observers may have noticed activity in the former Sackville Bowling building on Bridge Street in recent weeks.
Building owner Debbie Johnstone is renovating the interior of the building to prepare it for possible sale or lease. She says she’s hopeful that one day someone will be able to re-open the bowling lanes for operation.
Sackville Bowling first opened in 1939, predating other Bridge Street icons such as the Vogue Cinema and the former Mel’s Tea Room.
CHMA spoke to Johnstone, and dropped in to the space to hear from local carpenter Tyler Carter about his work in the space.
