In partnership with Queen’s University, Wilfred Buck is coming to the Screening Room tonight, featuring a Q&A with director Lisa Jackson.
The documentary film tells the life story and shares the knowledge of Wilfred Buck, also known as “the star guy,” Indigenous astronomy expert and educator. Adapted from his memoir “I Have Lived Four Lives,” the film combines archival footage, dramatic re-enactments, and present-day reportage to share Buck’s story. CFRC spoke with Jackson to learn more.
There will be other showings on Friday at 4 p.m. in celebration of National Indigenous People’s Day, and on Wednesday, June 26 at 6 p.m. More information is available here.
