Some parents in Dunfield Park are too afraid to let their children play outside because of the amount of used needles and drug paraphernalia, BayFM News has been told. One parent who requested anonymity to protect her children, said that she has seen crack pipes, needle caps, needles and during the past couple of weeks. She also said she found a drug den with a burned spoon, baggies, beer cans and multiple needles everywhere. When told the station that when she called police, they told her to contact the city since they are responsible for clean up. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary’s Constable James Cadigan confirmed that it is the city’s responsibility but police are there for support.
