The Future Matters Art Exhibition opens on Jan. 19 at the Harbour Front Centre with aim to explore the link between the art and the materials used in its production.
Future Matters is one of DesignTO’s first exhibitions for the year, with this exhibition’s theme being around the “[exploration of] themes related to material expression, innovation and environmental sustainability.”
The exhibition has over eight artists contributing from Canada and the Netherlands and each artist has their own idea over the theme. Artists include Yassine Ben Abdallah, Safaa Alnabelseya, Sonny Assu, Nada Al-Obaidi, Morgan Possenberg Denne, Julie Rose Sutherland, Cole Swanson and Elaine Whittaker.
