Every year a CP Rail train decked out in lights, stops in communities across Canada and the U.S., and raises money for local food banks.
CP presented $10,000 to the Revelstoke food bank when they were in town, from the stage that folds down from a special train car. Musicians performed Christmas songs on the stage while hundreds of Revelstokians mingled in the train yard. Pyres of wood burned to keep people warm, and local businesses served hot drinks. The firefighters were slinging hotdogs, which many children attending said was the highlight of the event.
Stoke FM News took a trip down to the railroad tracks to capture the spirit of the event.
