Brant-Brantford Crime Stoppers has been given the go ahead by Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) to increase the amount of signage and advertisements that are put up throughout the Six Nations community.
The announcement was made during the Dec. 10 general council meeting where councillors Dean Hill and Dayle Bomberry explained the decision, saying they hope it can help with community safety and encouraging community members to use the Crime Stoppers organization if necessary.
Bomberry said the signs will be put in high traffic and visible areas throughout the community.
He says the organization is also looking for a community volunteer to sit on the Brant-Brantford Crime Stoppers board.
Bomberry didn’t give an exact when the new signs will be installed but said it will be coming in the “near future”.
