Centre Wellington is changing how it awards community grants and what community groups can apply for. During last night’s council meeting, council voted in favour of replacing the former Community Impact Grant Policy and replacing it with the Community Investment Fund Policy.
In addition to the name change, Manager of Community Development with the township, Kristin Bettoil, says the new parameters of the program require organizations to prioritize a single project for funding, and removes the capital funding stream.
