Corner Brook city hall has approved a new business that has already been operating in the city.
At last week’s public council meeting, a car wash and rental business located at 26 Union St. was discussed. The proposal had been listed on the city website since July 17 giving residents an opportunity to voice any concerns. Only one response against the proposed development was received and it was due to the fact the applicant has been operating the proposed business from this location in the past without the proper permit and the respondent felt this should be denied.
Last summer, the business started renting a couple of vehicles but since that time, the number of vehicles being rented has increased and a car wash has been added.
CKVB has more on the story.
