Those commuting to Gabriola Island and back will want to double-check how they will be commuting to Vancouver Island and back starting next week, as BC Ferries starts night work on both terminals.
During the affected sailings, vehicle service will not be available as a complimentary water taxi will be in place. Deborah Marshall, executive director of Public Affairs for BC Ferries, explains to CHLY that this construction supports future terminal development.
CHLY also speaks with some Gabriola Islanders about how this work could affect their daily commutes.
