Ontario’s best curlers are descending on Cobourg next month, on a quest to become provincial champions.
12 Women’s and 12 Men’s teams will participate in a triple-knockout format at the Cobourg Community Centre January 19-26 to determine who represents Ontario at the Tournament of Hearts and the Brier.
In 2017, the West Northumberland Curling Club hosted the Ontario championships to much success. While having two years to plan for that event, the 2025 championships were awarded to Cobourg in April.
Jeff Gilmer and Ian Hartford, who are members of the organizing committee, spoke to CFWN News Reporter Dan Jones explaining the event and what curling fans can expect.
