Cobourg Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest in an ongoing investigation into break-and-enter incidents at four local businesses in town last week.
Last Monday around 7:18 a.m., police responded to a call for a break and enter at a business on Elgin Street East. It was reported that an individual entered the building by prying the door open and stealing cash before leaving the area.
On Friday, police received reports of three similar break and enter incidents starting at 6:10 a.m. at a business on Elgin Street West, another at 6:37 on Strathy Road and yet another at 7:13 a.m. on Elgin Street East.
Cobourg Police are asking anyone with information, dashcam, or CCTV footage of the area to call police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or visiting stopcrimehere.ca.
