Four-year-old Hendrix Armes of Cobourg is featured in the 2024 calendar from the Ontario Parents Advocating for Children with Cancer, with his story featured for the month of July.
Hendrix was diagnosed with acute lymphocytic leukemia in February of 2023.
Hendrix’s mom, Jenna Devlin, said the OPACC organization has been a valuable resource for families of children with cancer, providing items for Hendrix, coffee and parking vouchers for family members as well as experiences such as tickets to Ripley’s Aquarium and Toronto Blue Jays games.
The calendars have been a fundraiser for the organization, which has been a registered charity since 1995. Calendars can be purchased at opacc.org.
CFWN spoke with Devlin about her son’s battle with cancer and more recently, being diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic.
