The provincial election is coming up fast, and the candidates in the Bulkley Valley-Stikine riding of northern BC were in the limelight on Tuesday, October 8th at the Della Herman Theatre in Smithers.
In attendance were incumbent MLA, Nathan Cullen for the BC NDP, Sharon Hartwell for the BC Conservative Party, Rod Taylor, candidate for the BC Christian Heritage Party but the BC Green Candidate, Gamlakyeltxw (Wilhelm Marsden) was unable to be back in Smithers for the forum and could not participate.
The riding of Bulkley Valley-Stikine has been NDP-held since 2009, however, rising Conservative support has threatened Mr Cullen’s four year stint as the MLA. The provincial election takes place on Saturday October 19th.
