Two missing men are still being sought. Paul Rochon was last known to be in the Findlay Creek area on January 22 about 6:30 p.m. He is 42 years old, white, five-feet-ten-inches, with a medium build, blue eyes, and short gray hair. Mathew “Matt” McGrath has been missing since January 17 at 10:30 p.m. He was last seen in Carleton Place, near Grant and Coleman streets. He is five-feet-11-inches tall, has blond hair and blue eyes.
A man and his dog were saved by ice-rescue technicians after falling through the ice on the Ottawa River in Orleans on January 27.
The Russell Lions’ Club is roasting Mayor Pierre Leroux on February 17 at the Embrun Community Centre at 8 Blais Street. UPDATE: This event has been postponed. New date not yet set.
