The office of the Carrefour jeunesse-emploi du Pontiac was packed on Thursday morning for their annual general meeting. The meeting featured several testimonials from young people who had benefited from their time with the organization.
The non-profit group has a wide variety of programs and courses aimed at youth employment and education.
Jessica Kelly, an intervention coordinator with the CJEP explained that over the previous year they’d launched several successful initiatives, including an employment tour of the region. She said that over the next year they’re looking to expand their services for employers, as well as focusing on youth mental health.
