Cape Breton Regional Police say a North Sydney man’s disappearance is now considered a homicide.
Justin MacDonald was last seen in July inside an Irving gas station in North Sydney. Police won’t say why they’ve upgraded the investigation to a homicide, but they are urging anyone with information about the case to come forward. Constable Gary Fraser says even the “smallest piece of information” can help them solve the case.
Meanwhile, the 34 year old’s father, Kenny MacDonald, is also asking anyone with information to connect with police. MacDonald says he was “stunned” to learn about the investigation upgrade and never expected something like this to happen to his family. But MacDonald says he and Justin’s mother Peggy find comfort in the countless social media messages received from people around the world offering support.
