All five candidates for the riding of Tantramar gathered at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre on Wednesday night for a forum, with over 130 potential voters there to listen and ask questions.
CHMA brings you some of the highlights of the two-hour event, which included questions on everything from nursing homes to the Point Lepreau Nuclear Plant to the future of public education in the province. There were some laughs and some groans from the crowd, and some challenging questions, especially for incumbent MLA and Green Candidate Megan Mitton and new PC candidate Bruce Phinney.
This was the second Tantramar candidates forum, and another opportunity to hear from the candidates is scheduled for October 16 in Dorchester.
Advanced polling for the provincial election starts on Saturday, October 12, and election day is Monday, October 21.
