Seven disc golf players from the Bulkley Valley are en route to Clearwater BC for the Canadian Disc Golf National Competition from September 13th to the 15th.
Local players have been practicing for months to prepare for this competition. CICK News caught up with some of those players on their last local tournament weekend in Telkwa, BC at Skillhorn Provincial Park.
Ben Anderson, course designer for Skillhorn and Ranger Park Disc Golf course in Smithers said he hopes “to make the best choices and throw consistently awesome shots. In the bigger picture, I hope to come home as the MA40 (Mixed Amateur) national champion. Because that would be a nice piece of hardware to have, not only in my home, but also as a representative of the Bulkley Valley.”
Disclosure: Disc golfer Glenn Ingram, one of the people being interviewed, is station manager of CICK.
