Changes are coming for visitors to Cobourg’s Victoria Park Campground for the 2024 season.
A new online booking system will enable visitors to select their preferred campsite. Staff previously had to manually approve each booking and had a waiting list.
The campground will open May 18. Starting in 2024, reservations will only be accepted up to five months plus seven days in advance of the arrival date. Also new, a maximum of seven days can be reserved at one time. Additional dates must be booked through separate transactions.
Users can create online accounts starting Jan. 8 at 9 a.m. through Cobourg.ca/campground. Reservations open Jan. 18 at 9 a.m.
CFWN’s attempts to reach town staff for comment were unsuccessful.
