The church hall of St Paul’s Anglican church on Main Street in Sackville was quietly abuzz with activity on Saturday, as volunteers with the Tantramar Community Association (TCA) packed gift bags for the group’s Christmas Cheer program.
The annual program provides Sackville families with supplies to help them celebrate Christmas, including food and presents. In recent years the registered charity has also extended its activities throughout the year, providing small grants to families to help cover basic necessities.
CHMA dropped by to see behind the scenes of “packing day” and spoke with a number of volunteers, starting with TCA board member Laura Ripley.
