The Department of Infrastructure services at Lennox and Addington provided a year end update at council this week, highlighting the new roundabout at County Roads 6 and 23. “It’s a beautiful roundabout,” said Director of Infrastructure Services Chris Wagar. “One of the best we’ve done so far.” The roundabout is already open to traffic, with a minor construction still to be completed later this year and in early 2025.
Wagar noted that the text on the temporary signs directing traffic was smaller than regular road signs, and that they are slightly misaligned. The new signs, when purchased, he said, will have larger text and will be placed correctly.
Among other projects and achievements this year for the department is the near completion of the work on Main Street in Odessa. Staff are currently preparing the 2025 budget presentations and the design of upcoming 2025 capital projects.
