Road conditions along the north shore highway in the Bay of Islands have been an issue for town councils in the area for some time. Recently, mayors from the south shore met with MHA Eddie Joyce and NL Transportation Minister John Abbott to discuss the situation and possible solutions.
Lark Harbour Mayor Wade Park and York Harbour Mayor Nelson Childs brought concerns about road conditions forward and talked about next steps. Town officials applied for funding to complete the next phase of a water and sewer project last year, but they were denied.
CKVB News spoke with Lark Harbour Mayor Wade Park about the meeting.
