The Alberta Blue Cross is once again putting out a call for Indigenous post-secondary students to apply for their Indigenous Scholarship Program, which offers 9 scholarships of $1,500.
Of the 9 scholarships, three are for students who have just finished high school and are entering their first year of post-secondary education, and six are reserved for students classified as mature by their post-secondary institution.
Last year’s program saw a record number of applicants, according to Brian Geislinger, Senior Vice-President of Corporate Relations and Community Engagement with Alberta Blue Cross. They saw 73 applicants last year and are hoping to see more as every year passes.
The deadline to apply is January 31st. More information about the scholarship program, and where to apply, can be found on the Alberta Blue Cross website.
