A new documentary on a Centre Wellington 14-year-old who passed away after a battle with Angiosarcoma is out now.
The rare form of cancer took the life of Addison “Addy” Hill in 2022.
Jessica Hill, Addy’s mom, said she is happy to see the “beautiful tribute” of the short film Team Addy out on the Ontario Basketball Association (OBA) YouTube page and the Team Addy website.
“She was the life of the party. Every single doctor when they were like “oh let’s go to Addy’s room,” they just knew exactly who she was with how she was acting and how bright her personality was,” said Alyssa Hill, Addy’s sister, in the film.
The OBA YouTube writes “this documentary chronicles Addy’s journey, positive “addytude,” and the outcome of her unstoppable mindset.”
Jessica Hill told CICW more about the funds raised throughout the journey, and how basketball became an outlet for Addy.
