Health Centre closed temporarily due to mold, services to be relocated
Mold has been discovered within the Gane Yohs Health Centre and the building has temporarily closed some of its services that were provided within the building due to health concerns.
In an April 23 media release, Six Nations Elected Council announced the closure.
Affected services are as follows:
- Ohsweken Lab will re-launch operations April 29 at the White Pines Wellness Centre at 1745 Chiefswood Rd.
- Internal Medicine Rapid Access Clinic will re-launch services on May 2 at White Pines Wellness Centre
- Gane Yohs Medical Clinic, Ohsweken Public Health and Sexual Health Clinic will all re-launch on May 6 at White Pines Wellness Centre
- The Dental Clinic will remain closed until a suitable clinic space is available
SNEC say they are working diligently on inspections and remediation efforts.
No timeline was given on when Gane Yohs Health Centre will reopen. Council says further communications on new spaces will be released as they become available.
