A surprising season for the Sherbrooke Phoenix despite adversity
The Sherbrooke Phoenix recently concluded their season — and despite facing challenges, the team’s management remains proud of their performance.
At a press conference held less than 24 hours after their elimination by the Drummondville Voltigeurs, team president Denis Bourque expressed surprise at the team’s achievements, emphasizing their tenacity and resilience.
Head coach Gilles Bouchard highlighted the hurdles faced due to injuries but praised the players’ determination. General manager Philippe Sauve discussed plans for the offseason, including adding value to the roster and exploring draft options. Director of operations Sylvain Poissant celebrated the exceptional fan support throughout the season, with over 110,000 spectators attending games.
In a letter, the Sherbrooke Phoenix thanked fans, partners, volunteers, and employees for their unwavering support and looked forward to delivering to the 2024-2025 season.
