Six Nations Police conduct aerial search for stolen vehicles
Six Nations Police Service announced Monday that a flyover of the territory would take place today (March 12), for the purpose of locating stolen vehicles that may have been dumped in various locations in the community.
The flyover will begin at 10 a.m. and continue throughout the day. Police informed community members that police helicopters would be seen flying above the territory.
The aerial search will be executed in conjunction with the Ontario Provincial Police Aviation Unit, as Six Nations Police say they have investigated an increased number of stolen vehicles being recovered on the territory in recent months.
Six Nations Police Service declined to comment further on the investigation but are urging community members who may have information on the location of stolen dumped vehicles to contact Six Nations Police Service at (519) 445-2811 or Crime Stoppers at (519) 750-8477.
