SNC seeks input from shoreline landowners on hazard maps
South Nation Conservation (SNC) has been working on preparing hazard maps for the South Nation River’s watershed.
Flood plains, erosion and landslides are the usual hazards along the banks of the South Nation River.
This spring, SNC is asking landowners who own property along the southern portion of the South Nation River, the Castor River and the Bearbrook to participate in a review before the hazard maps are published.
“We want that local knowledge,” says Alison McDonald, a member of of SNC, in her interview with CJRO. The latest consultations should provide the information needed for the parts of the watershed listed above.
