Planning is underway for ‘Kid-preneur’, a new project by the Windsor Essex Muslim Homeschoolers (WEMH), Rose City Islamic Centre (RCIC), and Islamic Relief Canada (IRC).
The event will be held on March 1st. Last Friday they had their event’s preparatory meeting, where they taught children important information on how to setup a business idea and bring it to reality at the exposition.
The children who get involved will be able to create business ideas and then present them at the buy and sell event in March. These groups are striving to increase the confidence and connection to the community these kids have. Instead of just being recipients of societal impacts, they will be contributing to society and the economy.
On February 4, CJAM spoke to WEMH founder, Ayesha Mirza, about the event and its purpose.
